Saitek software does not work within X-Plane. Make sure it is not, repeat not, configured to run as admin. Now my question is why I could fix with the w7 driver and not the new one from the madcatz, it should work better with windows 10 driver. When I installed them neither gave me the option of where to install it. The utility tells you which specific drivers are out-of-date for all of your devices. I did uninstall both of these.
